The Great Goblin Exodus

"The Great Goblin Exodus" or simply "The Goblin Exodus" was an event that marked the end of The 1st Age. It lasted from 1A979 until their escape in 1A988

After a rise of xenophobia in the Elven realms, The high lords of Ti'Luamanas engaged on a campaign of eradication into the Eru-Fae forest. The elves broke the treaty of Irenor and had their soldiers pass the Tree Frontier. Many Goblin were massacred but many more fled their homes. The elvish Army was in pursuit of the refugee goblins. The 4 human kingdoms banded together against this humanitarian crisis and rallied a large army behind Icnar the Great, and up and coming General from Phasquut. Icnar built a large fortress to keep the goblins safe as they looked for a more permanent home. The human host outnumbered the elves 4 to 3 so the elves did not pursue any further. Eventually Icnar organised safe passage to an uninhabited continent to the south of them. Of the 17 Eru (goblin tribes) only 3 remained and settled on their new land.

This event marked the end of the First Age and uttered in the Second Age. The following key changes were a direct consequence of this tragedy:

  • The forming of the Empire of Metiria under Icnar the Great
  • The forming of the Goblin Confederacy a Confederacy of the surviving Eru
  • The Forming of the Fae-guard, to safeguard the Eru-Fae Forest
  • A second treaty of Irenor with the same term as the first. This second treaty was signed by:
